Individual Counseling for Adults

It can feel really hard to ask for help. And at the same time, everyone needs help sometimes. What’s that about, right? I will meet you where you need me. I will create a safe, empathetic environment for you to explore what makes sense for you and I’ll ask questions or reflect things you may not have thought about… and I’ll use a touch of humor to help it feel easier.

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you understand what patterns in your brain feel helpful to you and which ones are not so helpful.

Whether it’s a hard phase of life, circumstantial difficulty, or you think you might be struggling with something like anxiety or depression, you deserve to find someone who feels right for you to help you along the way. I often analogize finding a therapist to trying on shoes. I’d encourage you to ‘shop’ around and ‘try some therapists on’ via reading through a website, having a quick phone call (which I’m happy to do), or having an initial session. When we meet, we both ensure we feel good about the fit — no snug toes or rubbed ankles. If I don’t feel like a good fit to you, I would love to help you connect with someone who might be a better fit.
