Meet Audrey
I’m a Nationally Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor providing individual and family-based interventions for children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE; Yale Child Studies Center). I work frequently with clients struggling with anxiety disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), independent living difficulties (Failure to Launch, or FTL), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), trauma, depression, and/or adjustment issues.
I also love the collaborative work of Parent Consultation for parents of children struggling with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), school refusal, behavioral difficulties, and/or family discord.
One of my strengths is leveraging my gently direct approach within CBT and other evidence based short term interventions (like SPACE, ERP, or PCIT) leading to effective, shorter-term therapeutic treatment. There’s many reasons long term therapy may not be feasible for individuals and families - logistical, financial or otherwise. I really do love the opportunity to collaborate on a longer term basis; I also love being able to provide families an effective intervention that meets the complicated needs of a busy life. Whether it’s a few sessions, a few months, or a few years, I’d be honored to be in your corner as long as you need me (and when it feels like the right time to you, also helping you to feel confident that you don’t need me… because, I mean, that’s the point, right?).
I received my Master of Science in Counseling from the CACREP-accredited program at Oklahoma State University. I completed my clinical internship at Edmond Family Counseling in Oklahoma, a CARF-accredited community mental health agency serving children, adolescents, and adults with diverse needs and concerns. My clinical training and education emphasized respect for cultural diversity. I enjoy working closely with educational institutions and other health care providers to ensure collaborative and coordinated care for my clients.
I enjoy speaking to groups of parents, students, and professionals on topics related to parenting and anxiety.
